Day 1 — Beijing | Airport Transfer

Your local guide, private driver, and comfortable vehicle will be ready upon your arrival in Beijing. Your guide will assist with luggage and transfer you to your hotel.

The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore nearby.


Day 2 — Beijing | Forbidden City Depth + Hutong Life + Peking Duck

Today’s private experience in the Forbidden City includes carefully selected areas that go beyond standard group routes. Your guide will share insights into architecture, history, feng shui concepts, and the stories of emperors known for ambition, reform, or personal drama.

In the afternoon, wander through the hutongs — Beijing’s historic alleyways — and visit a local family in a courtyard home. Climb the Bell Tower for panoramic views and learn about preservation efforts.

Day 3 — Beijing | Temple of Heaven + Mutianyu Great Wall

Then drive about 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall. A round-trip cable car ride is arranged to save time and energy, letting you focus on walking the most scenic stretch and enjoying mountain views.


Day 4 — Beijing → Pingyao | Summer Palace + High-Speed Train

Spend your morning at the Summer Palace, a vast imperial garden celebrated for lakeside views, elegant corridors, and classical landscape design. Enjoy a leisurely walk (about 2 km) through its most picturesque sections.

After lunch, your guide will escort you to the railway station for a high-speed train to Pingyao (about 3.5 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.


Day 5 — Pingyao | Ancient City Walk + Shanxi Noodle-Making

Explore Pingyao Ancient City, one of China’s best-preserved walled towns with nearly 3,000 years of history. Walk along the city wall and discover its role as a financial center during the Qing Dynasty.

Visit Rishengchang Draft Bank (founded in 1823), often regarded as a pioneer of early Chinese banking, and explore classic streets, courtyards, and old institutions.

Enjoy a hands-on culinary experience: learn to prepare traditional Shanxi noodles with local experts, then taste your own creation along with other regional dishes.


Day 6 — Pingyao → Xi’an | Shuanglin Temple (Wukong Vibes) + Train

Visit Shuanglin Temple, beloved by many travelers for its striking resemblance to game-inspired aesthetics. Its painted sculptures are considered among the finest in China — vivid, expressive, and full of movement.

In the late afternoon, transfer to the station for a high-speed train to Xi’an (arriving around early evening). Check in and rest.


Day 7 — Xi’an | Terracotta Warriors + Muslim Quarter Foodie Adventure

Enjoy a relaxed bike ride on Xi’an’s Ancient City Wall (optional but highly recommended), then transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight to Shanghai (about 2 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.


Day 9 — Shanghai | The Bund, Yu Garden & Shanghai Tower
